
Several airlines have decided to temporarily suspend or cancel flights to Riyadh following Houthi attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi Arabian capital.
Lufthansa Group announced that it had suspended flights to Riyadh until October 16, while Indian carrier IndiGo cancelled services until October 9. Air India and Air India Express suspended their flights until October 10. Akasa Air also cancelled flights to Riyadh, while KLM and Air France are reportedly maintaining their existing suspensions until October 24.
Flight operations at Riyadh Airport have been severely disrupted following the attacks. According to aviation data company Cirium, approximately 50% of scheduled departures from the airport were cancelled on October 8. Flights operated by Turkish Airlines and AJet to Riyadh were also affected by the cancellations.
